GIFFORD PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Penshurst's residential streets, Gifford Park emerges as one of those unexpectedly well-appointed local gems that makes suburban life considerably more pleasant. The park strikes that perfect balance between utility and charm - spacious enough for multiple families to spread out comfortably, yet intimate enough to feel like a genuine neighbourhood gathering spot. The playground equipment is notably well-maintained, with recently installed rubber surfacing and thoughtful shade structures that make those scorching Australian afternoons bearable. Children gravitate toward the digger toy with particular enthusiasm, though adults have been known to sneak in a go when nobody's watching. The fenced playground area provides peace of mind for parents juggling multiple little ones. Beyond the swings and slides, the park offers surprising versatility with open grassy areas for impromptu touch footy matches and netball courts.
